Dulux Colour Trend 2014 – The Precious Elementals

Every year Dulux releases new colour trends in conjunction with some clever designers and this year they have four gorgeous colour schemes on offer. Today I’m kicking off with my favourite of the four – The Precious Elementals.

Wilhelmina McCarroll – head designer for Zuster – collaborated with Dulux on this palette and the end result is incredibly striking.

Comprising predominantly blues and greys, accented with bronze and white – The Precious Elementals gives a look that is calm yet stylish. I absolutely adore that, even when being adventurous with the darker colours, there is a really classic feel to the scheme.

I also love how beautifully the bronze accessories combine with the darker blues to give it a seasonal feel, but one you don’t feel will date in two seconds.

I love how the bronze fittings contrast so beautifully with the dark blue (Domino)

The bronze accessories also look amazing against the Malay Grey

Given I’m a fan of anything that has even a hint of turquoise or teal to it, you can see why I love this colour scheme
