There’s a coastal bush path that runs between Dunsborough and Meelup south of Perth. And I’ve run this path more times than I count. It throws up every surface from soft beach sand to wooden bridges to protruding rocks. For me this means I can’t really take my eyes off the darn path! If I could, and if I were to glance to my right as I ran, the above is what I would see.   There is this wonderful old lady who lives on our street. I gather she’s lived here pretty much forever as she told me her kids went to the same primary school my son goes to now. She lost her husband and her dog in the same week a few years back now and remembering this breaks my heart every time I see her as it reminds me of how long my grandma had to live without my grampa. I love Matilda Bay. I went to university at UWA so I’ve spent countless hours down there both chilling out, enjoying a quiet drink on a picnic blanket, as well as pounding its pavements on many an afternoon run. I’ve been to weddings there, I’ve raced triathlons there.
